Substance use disorder. Addiction. Whatever you call it, we understand how complex and disruptive it can be. At Yonder Behavioral Health, we believe recovery should begin with compassion and continue with care that is comprehensive, personalized, and rooted in real clinical support.

Located in Berea, Kentucky, Yonder Behavioral Health provides addiction treatment for adults living with substance use disorders, including people who also need support for co-occurring mental health concerns. Our goal is to offer a safe, structured place where healing can begin and where each person is treated with dignity, respect, and hope.

We understand the impact addiction can have on communities because we are part of the community. We are ready to help Kentuckians just like you find hope and healing.

A Community Approach to Recovery in Berea, Kentucky

At Yonder Behavioral Health, we know that addiction does not affect just one part of a person’s life. It can affect your health, your relationships, your emotions, your sense of stability, and your future. That is why our approach is built around whole-person care.

We combine evidence-based treatment with personalized support so each client receives care that reflects their actual needs, not a one-size-fits-all plan. For many people in Kentucky, especially those coming from smaller or rural communities, that kind of personal attention can make a real difference. Treatment should not feel cold or distant. It should feel human.

What Yonder Behavioral Health Offers

We offer structured residential treatment for substance use disorders, including support for people with dual diagnosis needs. This means treatment can address both addiction and related mental health concerns at the same time.

Our residential setting gives clients time away from daily stressors so they can focus on recovery in a more stable environment. During treatment, clients receive therapeutic support, daily structure, individualized care planning, and help in building a stronger foundation for long-term healing.

Compassionate, Comprehensive, and Personalized Care

These three ideas help define the care experience at Yonder Behavioral Health.

Compassionate care means you are treated like a person, not a problem. Our team knows it can be hard to ask for help, so we work to create a respectful, supportive space from the very beginning.

Comprehensive care means we look at the full picture of your life and health. Because addiction often overlaps with trauma, stress, and mental health concerns, treatment should address more than substance use alone.

Personalized care means your treatment plan is built around your needs, goals, and progress. Since recovery looks different for each person, the support you receive should feel specific, flexible, and relevant.

Our Trauma-Informed and Evidence-Based Treatment Model

Many people struggling with drugs or alcohol are also carrying trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, depression, or other emotional pain. At Yonder Behavioral Health, treatment is shaped by a trauma-informed lens so care can feel safer, more supportive, and more effective.

Our clinical approach includes evidence-based therapies, like cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy, and services designed to support both recovery and emotional well-being. Yonder BH also incorporates holistic and experiential services, such as art or music therapy, yoga, and mindfulness practices.

This blend of clinical care and whole-person support helps clients build healthier coping skills, improve emotional stability, and prepare for life after treatment.

Support for Co-Occurring Mental Health Needs

Yonder Behavioral Health is substance use disorder-focused, but many clients also come to treatment with mental health needs that cannot be ignored. When addiction and mental health symptoms are both present, treating only one side of the problem can leave people vulnerable.

That is why dual diagnosis support matters. By recognizing the link between substance use and mental health, Yonder BH can help clients better understand triggers, patterns, and barriers to recovery. This approach supports more complete healing and stronger long-term progress.
